EPISODE 8 - 'THE GIRL IN THE FRIDGE'
Steamy steamy hot and dreamy :) In this episode we are introduced to Brennan's ex mentor and lover, Professor Michael Barragan. All the squints, especially Angela, is excited about seeing Brennan with a man and the sweetest moment was when Zack and Hodgins block the Professor's path when he tries to step onto the platform - protecting Brennan and checking out the Professor.
Booth knows how Bones feels about preserving all the evidence so he brings her a whole fridge in which the decaying body of a young woman was found. Booth and Bones checks out the house where the girl was staying - the occupants a couple with weird sex fetishes who bound the girl and alleges that she was a willing participant in their sex games. Booth discoverers marks that show that they had bought a new fridge and takes them into custody.
Brennan and Professor Barragan go out to dinner but ended up staying in - he tells her that he might be moving back to take a job in Washington, but then turned professional expert for the defense of the case B&B are working on.
A very funny part of the episode is where Professor Barragan investigates the bones and the whole squint team (including Dr Goodman) is standing around the table, Hodgins and Zack with a video camera keeping an eye on the proceedings and Booth encouraging them by giving them the thumbs up sign.

In the Court room, Brennan gets lashed at by her jury expert, Joy Deaver, for not being relatable and Professor Barragan discredits her on the stand. Booth backs her up against Joy:
Brennan: (to Joy) You're the reason civilization is declining.
Joy: (to Booth) Talk to her.
Booth: I kind of agree with her.(Joy walks away)
Brennan: Thanks.
Booth: I really don't agree with you. I just, I don't like her.
And he talks the prosecutor into letting Bones testify again and making her more presentable to the jury by bringing up her past about her parents and showing that that is the reason why she is so detached and clinical - she's very angry at him but forgives him in the end after her testimony helped convict the couple, telling him that she probably would have done the same thing:
Booth: Hey, Bones.
Bones: What is it? I'm not feeling very forgiving.
Booth: Yeah, I know. But we have a case.
Bones: Victim is an adult male, 35 to 40 years old. From the pattern of the burning I'd say an accelerant was used. Could you hand me my bag?
Booth: Yeah. Sure. Hey, listen, you want my coat or something? It's cold up here.
Bones: If I did, I'd ask for it.
Booth: Yeah. Sorry. And, um...I'm sorry.
Bones: You had something to accomplish you found a logical way of getting what you needed. I probably would have done the same thing.
We also learn that Bones was 23 when she dated her Professor and Zack makes the remark that Dr Brennan is his mentor, Hodgins making it clear that it's never going to happen. Dr Goodman also lets Tempe know that she beat Professor Barragan for the job at the Jeffersonian a few years back.
B&B Moments:
Talking about Professor Barragan:
Booth: Okay. Call me later.
Bones: I'm not working tonight. I have a dinner.
Booth: What? Wow. I just assumed that the two of you would be eating off an autopsy table.
Bones: Not tonight.
Booth: I was being...Tomorrow's fine. Call me tomorrow.
Booth: You trained her well, doc.
Michael: She's brilliant. A little cocky, though.
Booth: Yeah, tell me about it. Pretty good partner, though. What you see is what you get. It's a rare quality. That's just between us, eh?
Booth: Bones, you ok?
Brennan: Why wouldn't I be?
Booth: Cause the nutty professor has graded your paper. What did he give you anyway, huh? I was always happy with a B.
Brennan: I never got a B and I never will. (storms off)
Booth: That's my girl.
