EPISODE 2 - 'THE MAN IN THE SUV'
By now, we have met most of the main characters and each relationship has been revealed a little bit.
B&B investigates an incident where a middle-eastern man has been blown up in the middle of a crowded street - of course it screams Al-Qaeda, but we later learn that the man was not a suicide bomber but the victim. The Middle Eastern man is identified by Homeland Security as Hamid Masruk and the task to positively ID him falls to Bones and her team of squints to prevent chaos from breaking out.
On the relationship front, Booth's girlfriend, Tessa, is introduced as the a sexy lawyer and Bones seems somewhat intrigued by the idea that Booth has a girlfriend, but he doesn't want to talk about it (hmm wonder why):
Brennan: Look, I'm happy for you. Relationships have anthropological meaning. No society can survive if sexual bonds aren't formed bet
Booth: What the hell are you talking about?
We see their working relationship grow as Booth takes Bones into the interrogation room with him and she starts asking him questions about killing people.
They solve the case and as it turns out, the bomb victim's brother was a religious suicide bomber and Booth ids forced to kill him before he can detonate the bomb.
B&B Special Moments:
In the restaurant at the end of the episode Booth tells Bones he doesn't want the medal and the White House ceremony for killing the murderer,
Booth: "There is nothing to celebrate".
Bones: (touching his arm) "You saved so many people Booth, don't forget that"
